| Usage · Dosage |
1. The initial dose may vary from 4mg to 48mg per day as methylprednisolone depending on the symptoms of the specific disease. In general, a low dose is sufficient for mild conditions, but an initial high dose may be required in special patients. A slow decrease is desired upon discontinuation of the drug after prolonged treatment. 2. Multiple sclerosis : For the treatment of acute exacerbation of multiple sclerosis, it is effective to administer 200mg of prednisolone daily for 1 week and then 80mg of prednisolone every other day for 1 month. |
